Tis the Season of Giving

Rescue is all about Give & Take
As an organization, we’re incredibly blessed by the generosity of our supporters. But it’s also inevitable that we suffer some losses. In 2023, we battled a devastating parainfluenza breakout at our kennel, we said goodbye to some of our dearest dog friends, and we lost our beloved friend and treasurer, Roger Keyser to cancer. With heavy hearts, we soldier on because we have no choice. There are more animals to save, endless numbers of them, in fact. So, this #givingtuesday, we ask you to contribute to Eleventh Hour Rescue, so we can continue with our life-saving work.

Giving from the Heart

Volunteers and fosters are the soul of Eleventh Hour Rescue. They’re dedicated to helping our animals survive and thrive without getting one thing in return, except the satisfaction of knowing they made a difference. Without them, tens of thousands of cats and dogs wouldn’t have found loving homes. In honor of our tireless volunteers and fosters, please contribute to Eleventh Hour Rescue this #givingtuesday. “These animals are so innocent and sweet,” says one volunteer, “it makes it all worth it. When a terrified dog comes into the shelter and you watch her slowly begin to trust and love people again because of the kindness and patience of the volunteers, you’re watching magic happen.”

Giving is Good for the Soul

Animal rescue is all about heart. Sometimes are hearts are broken by what we see, but a good redemption story can glue the pieces together again. This is rescue, a constant give and take. While we celebrate each victory, like placing a “hard-to-place” dog in the perfect home, we know that at some point, we will have to grapple with what is taken from us. But that doesn’t stop us one bit. This #givingtuesday, please donate and help us continue our work, with both the “easy” and “hard” placements, because they all need the same amount of love. We'll be there, on the line, ready to give. Will you?
